Assuming PERFECT BLACKJACK PLAY, standard rules and a 1-12 bet spread (better rules or pen would have lower risk, worse rules or pen would have higher risk): 200 Units: 40% Risk of Ruin. That means that 4/10 card counters who play this way will be kissing their bankroll goodbye. Ever since Blackjack has been offered at casinos, players have attempted to employ strategies to gain an advantage, but Thorp’s system actually works because of its strong mathematical foundation. Thorp developed his method by running computer simulations and determining the optimal decision based on the current known information. The ultimate goal in blackjack is making the best decision on your hand so as to get your 21 or get closer to 21 than the dealer. To do this, decisions must be made on every card. The questions here as a player are whether to hit, stand, double down, split, when to take insurance and when to surrender. For example, you choose $5 as a minimum bet and $15 as a maximum amount. You start with the smaller amount. If you win you bet $15 and then continue to wager $15 until you lose. After the loss you go back to the minimum bet of $5. This is a really simple strategy, but it is considered an advanced betting system. 5 lose 5 win 15 win 15 lose 5. The idea behind blackjack betting systems is to try and optimize the ratio of wins to losses by controlling the amount of money wagered on each hand. While this can definitely be a good strategy, there are unfortunately as many bad blackjack betting systems as there are good ones.

Introduction

Much like Red Dog, the goal is for one card to fall between two others in rank. In this case, the primary goal is the dealer's up card to fall between the player's initial two cards. As of 2019, this side bet is becoming popular, with several placements I'm aware of.

The name of this bet is rather unclear. Judging by the table felt, it would seem to be titled just 'In.' However, the AGS web site, the company that markets the game, refers to it as the 'In BETween.' So, I'm going to go with that.

Rules

The side bet is based on standard blackjack rules. The primary object is for the dealer's up card to fall between the player's two initial cards in rank. For tight spreads of three ranks or less, the pays get larger. There is also a premium win for a three of a kind. The full pay table is below. All wins are on a 'to win' basis.
